Help with diagnosis
I have a 99 Yamaha Exciter with twin 135HP motors. Launched the boat, it ran good for a couple days, then the starboard motor started cutting out, after I was on plane & running, at about 2500RPM's. It would start right back up.

I went on the Yamaha forum & searched for that problem. They said it's either the fuel filter or the plugs. Pulled the fuel filters, they are clear & looked clean. So changed the plugs on both motors, they were over due to be changed. Took the boat out for a test ride, the port motor bogs down bad, the starboard motor cut off at about 1000 RPM's, when I was just taking off. Strange, both motors ran before changing the plugs, well, except for the one cutting out. Now I can't even get on plane.

Went to see Mike at Jetcraft, he's backed up 2 weeks. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?? Or anyone else I could call?? I'd appreciate any suggestions!

There's a fire on the island! The whole sky over there is orange! It's a little late for a comtrolled burn. Wonder what's going on? Matt, is the scanner saying anything?

Flood Risk?
Interesting site that shows flood risk & claims countrywide. Just click to zoom in on your area. It gives the breakdown of claims in your county from June, 1994 to September, 2008.

Nino's salad
Don't really know the name of this salad, I have been buying it at Nino Salvaggio's for 8.99 a pound, so I decided to save some money & make my own. Very tasty!

1 can of artichoke hearts, rinsed & chopped
1 can heart of palm, rinsed & chopped
1 jar pitted kalamata olives, rinsed
1 container grape tomatoes, rinsed
1 cup fresh grated Romano cheese
green onions, chopped (I skip this, not a fan)

I chop the artichose hearts & heart of palm about the same size as the olives & grape tomatoes. Mix all ingredients in a bowl & add about 1/2 cup of light viniagrette, then chill. I make my own dressing, whisk together evoo, lemon juice & honey or sugar.

Flavors are great when blended. Something different, nice dish to pass instead of the same old, same old.
