Port Huron to Mac

Has anyone gone up to view the start of the race by boat?? Do they close the river at all before the start?

Saturday looks like it might be a real nice day, and that could make a real nice trip up and back, as well as rest in between to grill a little and watch some cool boats.

Any suggestions??

McRays, MACRAYS, MAC & RAYSs... what's the story?

Ok, I've been having a discussion (err, arguement) about the name of this place... is it McRays, MAC RAYS, or MAC & RAYS?? Web searches show all three. I haven't been up there since they first broke ground on the place many years ago and well before they had a conference center. Is the marina called one thing and the conference center or restaurant another? (IS there a restaurant there??? I don't see it on the waypoint map and haven't heard anyone here mention it, but some friends think there is one there)

I'd really like to know the RIGHT answer before I start wagering beers!!!

Best place for lawn fertilizer?

Other than Home Depot or Lowes (which always seem expensive, even on sale) where is the best place to get lawn fertilizer?

WEST side fabricator?

I know most of you live east of our own "mason-dixon" line, but do you know any metal fabricators on the WEST side of the area... perhaps near the I--275 corridor that you'd recommend for small jobs?

Looking to have some brackets and a little stand fab'd with steel tubing (square and/or round)
