Passed on alot of gators throughout the week. 12 hours before my flight left, I decided to take this 7 1/2 footer around 11 pm. Had a bigger one in the main channel coming back Stalked the darn thing over 100 yards. Took the shot and must have not gotten enough penetration. Ran out with my line and then nothing Those things are unreal. Like shooting armor plating Can't wait until next year.

Anyone fishing Wheatley yet?

I have had a crappy summer, but wanted to make a trip before my gator hunt. Just curious if anyone's been over yet.

Muskie Opener Morning Report for the crew of MakoWish

Nothing big, but they sure were aggresive. Made the long run from Harley to the Thames. Water varied from stained to clean depending on depth. Worked 13-19 fow Chefnutz's long rod was the magic stick LOL We rigged it with a black and silver bucktail and set it up at 5/50. It took 4 or 5 out of our 7 fish. The other hot bait was my black and silver custom Wiley in the wash 6/10. We called it at noon and came home. People were still boating fish when we left. Can't wait to go back My camera is missing, but Shep and Chef have the pictures.
