Boating at 5am this morning!
We stayed up at the club last night. I don't know why? I think it was a drunken plan that arose yesterday afternoon. Oh well, it was fun. We got up at 4:50am this morning so I could get Steph home so she could go to work. Man, it was 'O Dark 30! Couldn't even get on plane in the North Channel it was so dark. Had the spot light on from time to time to mark the buoys. Once we reached the last marker we hit it. A little chop and breeze, but successful. Until after we tied the boat and tried to start the car. Battery was dead. Pulled one of the boat batteries and jumped it. Got her home and she is at work now.

GPS is a wonderful thing when it is that dark. You basically cannot see anything out there, but you just keep a sharp eye out and use the land marks along with your GPS. We are dedicated. That is for sure.

Jet Blast Wednesday
I know most have to work and cannot get out on a Wednesday, but tomorrow is looking decent weather wise. So, here we are again facing the fact that it is still August (the greatest boating month) and us boaters gotta do what we gotta do, right?

I will be getting out about NooN again taking on the flats of LSC.

Every weekday that I am out there I actually see quite a few other PWC'ers out there buzzing around. Sometimes in packs of 6-8 riders. I think to myself, "how do I get those people on LSCN?" They should be on LSCN. Everyone knows that it is more fun to ride with others. It's not as fun as a "one man wolfpack". wink.gif

So, let me know if you will be out on the lake tomorrow and we can hook up and run the flats.

Goose Bay Storm yesterday!
We got out late morning yesterday to Goose Bay. Started to be a hot steamy morning so we weren't about to sit around at any dock. So off to "the goose". Storm rolled in so we battened down the hatches and let it roll through. In total it lasted an hour and passed. After that it was one of the best days of the summer. There were some of the most boats I have ever seen in Goose Bay. It was glorious.

We stayed out until 9:05pm. Couldn't give up on the day. So we made it last as long as we could. What a great time with good peoples. I love Lake St. Clair.

Jet Blast Thursday
OK, since I got jipped out of Jest Blast Wednesday today..... mad.gif

Meaning: I got as far as the launch with the jet boat and looked at the radar and it showed a green, yellow & red blob the size of Texas heading toward Detroit I turned around and came back home. So far all we have gotten is a light sprinkle and the texas sized blob has dwindled down to a few scattered green spots and nothing. Even the sun is shining now... dry.gif mad.gif dry.gif mad.gif This is why you cannot limit your boating to the damn forecast.

Who's down for Jet Blast Thursday. Yes, that would mean taking the day off of work you wussies!!!! ohmy.gif If you know the flats or don't know the flats, who cares!??? Come on out and let's play on a Thursday. You only live once and summer is short. LET'S ROCK you PWC'ers and jet boaters!!!!

(respond accordingly please, if you can't tell I am a little fired up)

Aquapalooza this Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
Aquapalooza is this Sunday July 25th in front of MacRay's and we are fired up!!

Once again, everyone is invited to create a worlds record LSCN raft off of boats. Look for the LSCN flags and or give a shout out on channel 69 for one of us for the location. Usually near the rock.

I am going to try and get there about NooN. I would think that Stodge (or someone) may be there before then. Either way, it is always a great time. Let's ROCK near the ROCK!
