Went to the Port Huron Museum today to listen to a presentation by "Lighthouse Bob" a 20 year Keeper of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. They have a nice exhibit going until March 15 on the Blue Water Lights and the Ladies of the Lights. I noticed one display case had some items donated or on loan from the SOSCL.

The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse has some deteriorating bricks falling from the outside tower so the site will be open for tours but you will not be able to climb the tower until they can fix it up. Looks like they need to get some fund raisers going too.

They are starting a Friends of the Fort Gratiot LH group with a kickoff event on April 25th. I will be there and hopefully the structural engineer (the same one who worked on the South Channel Lights) as well.

Lighthouse Bob is a great guy.
