i thought i might show everyone my new project it's a 1935 J-75 seahorse that i'm going to rebuild it's only a 1.4HP but i love these old motors. i'm just having a hard time thinking of a way to get the dents out of the tank.

I'm sure there is somebody at your work that would be able to do it. If not I might know a guy that could help you out

not the same age or challange, but I just rebuilt a 1972 evenrude lightwin 4 hp. I had to adjust the fly wheel a bit. changed all gas lines. rebuilt the carb. new lower unit oil and lube. new recoil and rip cord. and 4 hrs of pulling that bad boy just to crank over once....

after she turned over, she's a one pull start that is perfect for my upnorth 12 ft alum....

Have you tried taking it to a collision service. Maybe they can help.

ya i took it in to a couple places and as soon as i told them what it was from they said no way. i am hoping to be getting another one for 35.00 in a lot better shape and will be able to work on this one and see what i can do. there are a lot of people that would pay for good work on some thing like this. i know for sure i will be getting 2 more motors soon.
