Just to add my 2 cents.

Metro Marsh: 3 - 4 inches of clear ice. Still sketchy in some areas

Metro Marina: 2 - 3 inches of ice but has slush ontop as I ventured out. I wouldn't recommend for a couple more days.

No matter where you go right now use your spud the ice is 1 to 4 inches. Guys have been walking on the spillway since last night use cation.Most guys are hanging in the canals still but some have went out a little ways onto the lake this morning.

Fished becons cove last night next to jenos I think that's what it's called it was my first time there caught about 45 gills big ones to on green tear drop with wax worm about 6 in off bottom was cool having shanty on ice again can't wait to take the quad way out and catch the big boys won't be long !! Might try again tonight was only me and one other guy out there last night but boy was it fun!!

Were you able to walk around the rock wall from crocker launch into becon? I'm heading to crocker tomorrow just wondering thx.

Yes ice was very safe along rocks I heard guys were on the lake today but fish were biting non stop inside marina lastnight some of the best fishing I've ever seen! I'm thinking about going back tonight cooked up some gills tonight and they were soooooo good!

Thx, everbody's crushing the gills this year. Im going to head out tomorrow and set some tip ups and jig some darters for pike.

Make a report if you get anything on your TipUps. I've been skunked on mine every time out. Finally found a good way to fillet pike this year (5 fillet method). I'd like to restock my freezer on pike
