Approximately how thick is the ice running on Lake St Clair?

Depends, I would say most spot 18-24 inches. However, I just cut a couple holes in Anchor bay and a few marinas with less than 3 inches. So be careful out there.

In canada the thinnest was 30"

I would say almost about 2 foot everywhere, Last weekend in Fair haven guys were taking there trucks all over that lake.. You will be good

You might want to check Coastwatch.....I don't know how much ice there is around 7 mile?? 2/23/14 is a clear pic.

i would not go south of yacht club at thr groose pointe farms park there is some open water at the point not much but i would not trust the ice. if your in a marina your fine but open water deeper than 4 feet is not a good idea at all.
