I tried to buy health insurance twice in 2011, was denied, but that's a whole other issue. The whole health care thing deserves it own thread, you do realize the Supreme Court is debating this right now? Being self employed I am forced to buy insurance, but what my money is no good? It's not like I'm sitting on my death bed due to cancer or something (good thing to huh)? Not looking for medicaid either.

I won't have to "GO f**k" myself because the conservative agenda will do that for me if it's allowed to continue. I have paid into social security and medicare for over 30 years and now those programs are called "entitlements" and have to be greatly reduced. Now after all those years of paying in guys like the idiot stick from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan, says I should have to pay again for health care, this time to private companies. In the end we continue to be the only industrialized nation that hasn't focused on health care for it's citizens only how to perpetuate the profit based systems that force my pockets open for private interests to reach right in.

The exploitation of the taxpayer marches on. Now that I've paid into government programs for decades and might actually recoup some of my investment, they call it an entitlement and I'm supposed to learn to take responsibility after paying in for decades.

I'm sure you believe this is all "a**hole bullssh*t", Easier to just say it's so than actually enter into any reasoned discussion. Guys like you are part of the reason I turned away from a conservative agenda and the republican party. Too much ignorance and blind loyalty for me. I'm sure it's easier for you to be spoon fed your views though, and it leaves more time for spelling class.

As a side note, I was at first concerned that, given your posts, you might be having a bad day. After thinking about it a bit however, I realized I really don't care in the slightest what kind of day you are having.

I do think it time to re-read Proverbs 26:4. It's in the Bible between Psalms and Ecclesiastes, between 25 and 27: between 3 and 5. You might want to look it up after you get done with the daily crossword. I'm sure you have a Bible someplace.

not revamp the complete system and make it a single payer system and have the other 350 million people suffer as well. nothing is perfect but we have the best there is IF govt stays out.

Actually I know a lot of facts and I'm fairly reasonable. I read a lot and have completed a fair amount of education. I try very hard to form opinion based on fact, not find facts to fit my opinion which is the earmark of a simpleton.

I suppose I won't pretend to like anything about you. I suppose I could "tell it like it is" and tell you my opinion of you but that just wouldn't be polite. My grandmother always said "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it".

You suck at facts.

You just tried making an argument using non facts about medicaid. You are also using non facts about the health care bill by calling it a single payer system. The health care bill does have provisions to address the pre existing conditions problem.

In the current system if you lose your job with employer provided insurance and you can't keep up the cobra payments because you can't find a job you would lose your insurance. If it takes you some time before finding a job that allows you to afford your own insurance and you have come down with a medical or more likely a mental illness, guess what? You are screwed. I know as long as you don't have to face those facts you don't care but for a lot of us responsible hard working individuals it's a fact we must deal with. As we get older it gets a whole lot scarier worrying if we'll be able to afford or even get insurance.

My wife and I have both been denied health insurance for pre existing conditions. Me for a high blood pressure reading during an office visit 5 years ago and my wife for a 3 hour emergency room visit 4 years ago for a stomach virus. Both insurance companies that denied us would not even consider current physicals to prove our health.

I can not even lower my deductible with our current provider because of those two so called preexisting conditions. I can not even pay a higher premium. I am stuck with my current insurance.

You have no clue what it's like for people like us to worry about health care insurance. Those facts suck for me.

With record temps for us this weekend I thought it was time stir things up....I just got back from my 1st ever visit to AZ - yikes talk about hot, it's a dry heat right? They have had a super warm spring as well and when I left wildfires were flaming away. Oddly enough one afternoon a t storm rolled in and they got some rain (for like a few hours), did see some lightning which was fun, though not for the families whose homes burned down.
