In Tuesday night's first of five Democratic Party debates for the 2016 Presidential election, Hillary Clinton, attacking Bernie Sanders (after, I would note, he graciously gave her a pass on her email shenanigans), claimed "He also did vote as he said for [the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act]. I voted against it... It was pretty straightforward to me that he was going to give immunity to the only industry in America."
Yeah: That's what the country needs: Another four years of Obama-style pandering and lying. In this case: Pandering to the anti-gun "liberal" left and lying about the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. That Act does not give firearms manufacturers immunity from anything other than the baseless lawsuits brought against them purely in an attempt to bleed them dry. A tactic the anti-gun crowd publicly announced they would pursue when they couldn't get the laws they wanted passed.
Here's proof that the firearms industry was given no special immunity from penalties for breaking the law or for negligence:
QuoteGun shop ordered to pay millions to injured police officers
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Jurors ordered a Wisconsin gun store to pay nearly $6 million on Tuesday in a lawsuit filed by two Milwaukee police officers who were shot and seriously wounded by a gun purchased at the store.
Full story: Gun shop ordered to pay millions to injured police officers
Ironically: You'll note the dateline on that story: October 13. Yes, the very same day of the debate.
Also note the jury decided this. Was Obama on the jury? The jury decided their guilt.
13 December 2015 - 12:54 PMI like guns and instead of discussing what we do not agree on let's discuss what we may agree on:
1) law enforcement can not enforce the laws on the books right now. More resources should go towards that.
2) background checks should be mandatory. No exceptions.
3) We need a truly independent third party to collect data about gun violence to really understand what we can do.
4) We have to be able to talk about the issue in a civil manner.
Is this a start?

Just an FYI, every bass tournament I ever fished required current proof of insurance. So if my boat was insured and I let someone else use it and something like this happened I would expect borrower to offer to pay deductible. Simple as that. If I let someone use my boat and I did not have insurance on it then shame on me. Think of the liability of letting someone use an uninsured boat.
I picked up the boat yesterday in Ohio
So the guy got his boat back? I lend my boat to my buddy once a year and I am curious if insurance paid?
