The Opti's don't use oil the same way a normal 2 cycle motor does. It "atomizes" the oil into very fine droplets, more efficently useing the oil. The DFI oil is a synthetic product, specifically designed to be used in the Opti. USE THE MERC DFI OPTI OIL ONLY IN YOUR 2001 AND NEWER OPTIMAX MOTORS! Unfortunately, it's not cheap. About $25.00 a gallon.

We don't have our bulk oil supply yet. Big shots at corporate haven't made the decision to "particapate" in Mercs program yet. Check back in a week and we should know something then.
