That's right, the kittens that FullThrottle and I posted about are ready to be adopted out. They were born on monday, March 17 and are 7weeks old today. They love Kitten Chow.

If you took pictures of the other end we could probably tell for sure.

oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, they are sooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, if I couldn't control myself, I couldn't work in rescue. It is hard sometimes though.

Quick Story- my first memory of rescue was when I was about 5yrs. it was a caterpillar. It ended up frying in the sun when my Mom called me in for lunch, but my heart was in the right place.

my girls, and one boy, are happy, healthy and my home is FULL! They range between 10 and 13 yrs old. That means it's been 10 years since I've brought any more cats into my home. I wouldn't bring in anymore! My animals are unbelievably loveable and affectionate, not the typical snobby cats, and my ferrets are playful beyond belief, I have constant smiles because of them
(lot of work though!)

I'd love a dog, but that day might come when I get a man and children...at the rate I'm going, it'll be a while
That's fine with me.

The kittens in this post are definitely, easily adoptable. BTW, thank you for waiting until they turned at least 7 weeks before adopting them out. many people let them go way too young.

I just have to say one more thing, REMEMBER- when you adopt, please know that they will need you their entire life. My first boyfriends sister called me in January to let me know that Frisky (the family cat) just passed at age 21!

OK, I wont ramble anymore

21....that's pretty old. As a non-cat owner and someone that's alergic to them I really don't know much about cats. What is the normal life span of a cat?

I knew someone that had a cat until it was 20 years old!

Those kitten's are so cute, Jim. But like Rerun, Aaron is alergic to them.

Maybe Jewel's would like one or two...Sparky needs a friend!

I've warned you, long hair kitties leave "globs" and "tufts" of hair everywhere........

It is good to have two cats to keep each other company, groom each other and play because they do get bored otherwise. Having only one cat can sometimes be a pest because they can become to dependent on you. Two litter mates is also the best way to go.

No, ZERO littermates is the best way to go.

Life spans vary of course, but 13-16 I think is average (indoor & outdoor cats). Generally indoor cats, female cats that are spayed before their first heat & cats that haven't had a pregnancy again GENERALLY tend to live longer. This info was shared with me by several veterinarians over the past few years. Medical info changes as more studies are done.
Mine all seem to be in pretty good health, but I can see they're aging and getting a little more porky as the years pass. What the h*ll, so am I

I did breed my Siamese when she was 2 1/2 and now that she is 13 I can tell the difference.

**TIP- neuter your male cat!!!! My boy was three yrs old when he heard "the call of the wild" a female outside announcing that she was in heat. He began to spray (P frickin U, yuck). I neutered him and it stopped, but there is a chance that neutering might not remedy that situation.

I agree on having a pair, BUT if you already have an older cat, he/she may not welcome a newbie. One of them might start marking territory
I think it's good to have at least two, but try and pair them up while they are still young.

As far as shedding goes, it hasn't made a difference with long or short hair over here..I pretty much have cat hair on everything and one of my short hairs is the worst shedder! Her hair is short, but very thick. Furball remedy and lint brushes are my friends

i feed them the hair ball control food ( pogo the 8year old)
it make the hair balls all most non existant
the baby (12 weeks) bits still gets kitten chow.
its really funny to watch how these 2 interact with each other too.
one minute they're wrestling & slap boxing ,
the next they're curled up together napping

We're pretty sure. Looks like we have 2 with and one without. But then again, could just be fur balls.

Anyway, first 3 takers and they are off to new homes. House is a bit crowded with animals. Hey Pampurred, are you still interested?
