I got a very last minute surprise phone call from Bill last night around 7:00PM to shoot out with him and his wife for some short musky casting south of Metro. We used bucktails, and on the 3rd cast, I had a decent follow. We tried from 8-11 FOW with no luck. Water was crytal clear, but the waves really picked up when that south wind cranked up. About 15 minutes before calling it quits, we got attacked by gnats, and some fish flies. We then called it quits and headed back to the Crocker launch to head on home. It was nice to get out for a short while, and I still keep getting closer and closer then ever now to getting that first big musky. Thanks again Bill for the last minute offer to head out.
