Look on any good map of the lake,...straight out from 9 mile road, you will see a large flat that is 8-10ft deep...in the middle of that flat is a long point that runs almost north/south...more NNE,...anyway,,.that "point" is 2-5 ft deep and that's refered to as the "9 Mile Point"...there's a bouy on the northern most tip of it. (The coord of that bouy are as follows: 42.28.54N and 82.51.54W) Good luck and be careful....the water's down a little and it could get shallow fast!

That "HUMP" they're refering to is probably the "point" I'm talking about,.....very similar to the Belle River "hump"
