What gives you that good old "accomplished" feeling?

I slept GREAT after 5 hours of catching up around the house last night... it's been a looooong time coming

all bills caught up
cleaned bathroom
laundry
pedicure
kitchen clean
basement straighten
vaccum
sealed the deal on getting my garage decentized
dust and straighten every room

Seeing my oldest dancing on stage during her recital.
Looking at the note saying that she made the honor roll.
Hearing my youngest point out the colors we have been working on all month! The times she tells me she has to go potty. (That's been a tough one)
Laundry all done.
Getting the entire house clean in one day (doesn't happen often)

pauligan!!! don't you feel so much better!!!!
catching up works fo rme everytime, otherwise i'm all discombobulated!

i caught up on ALL my cleaning (i even got to steam clean some spots on my carpet!), stocking up on everyday stuff (toothpaste, tp, detergent, basic groceries, etc) so i don't run out, got new jackets ( i haven't bought new PRACTICAL jackets in a couple years!!), recaptured my bed, did THREE MONTHS of matching & identifying receipts (couldn't believe i remembered what they were all for!), made a batch of potato soup (mmm!), and have sincerely caught up on ALL my sleeping!!! ooooooooh! i am SOOOOO well rested!!!

every morning this week, i've gotten up smiling, made the bed (which has been easy because i have hardly moved i've been sleeping so well!), made breakfast, did some stretching & arm curls... i've had a couple really great days since i've been able to catch up on everything!! *sigh*

pauligan rocks!!!

Most days I feel like I've accomplished something if:

I get to the gym

I completed projects that I've started; painting, organizing, cleaning

Little Tree survives a day w/o injuries and he learns something new

I can wake up and feel happy and stay that way the rest of the day

Sent out cards and made phone calls to people I keep saying I've got to call or just say hello to let them know I'm thinking of them

And having a day without any"would've, should've, could'ves"

A good workout at the gym, finishing that house project, hosting a get together for family and/or friends, closing a deal w/ a customer.

Please elaborate as pirlgirl says.......garage decentized seems like a very unique project.

decent-ized!!

I'll take a picture of my garage and post it tomorrow...

It's hideous:

no garage door
busted windows
busted side door
leaves
animals busting a move out of there when I go near it
dead animals (removed one dead squirrel and there is a bird carcass that I can't bring myself to touch)
nasty dark scary corners
caving in roof... (but learned it's not structural or the trusses (sp?) but the planks themselves
...

embarrassing and I'm "decentizing" it by getting a garage door, side door and window panes replace... hopefully a new roof by next spring! yay!

Congrats to chipping away at that pile of to-do's. It's a nice guilt free feeling at the end of the night when you have your "me time" and can enjoy it knowing you took care of business during the day.

Jewels...good point about making those calls and sending those cards out that you have been meaning to do for a long time. I did that this week too and felt great!!

Watching Jenn finish cleaning the house and making me a great dinner. Watching her take care of the cats, feed them and clean their litter boxes. Watching her fold all the laundry that she just finished, and oh yeah................opening the next beer that she just brought me on the couch.

In no particular order.

Knowing I have a $0 balance on my major credit cards and keeping them paid off for most of the year. I'm sure this will change when I get a boat. <_<

Finished installing the flooring in the room, that is my never ending remodeling project. (the last major step)

Seeing a new car or truck model hit the road that I had a hand in designing.

Hitting a perfect bulls eye with an arrow or bullet.

Getting the last word in the last word thread.
