I'll be watching from the comfort of my own backyard - a little obstructed viewing but not bad. We always have some cool fly-overs overhead. Four years ago we had a B-17 and and a Corsair fly low and slow right over the house. I was a WWII bird nut when I was a kid so that was very cool to see.

Bummer it's a work day for you Esox, but those of us benefitting from your efforts (not just the show but that too) really appreciate the opportunity to see this kind of thing... is there any kind of schedule indicating who/what will be flying when? (If I missed that on the website I apologize but I didn't see it).

Hope the weekend goes well for you - will you be flying?

Nah, it's not bad. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. I'm not. It's just a very very busy weekend for us. But we know people enjoy it and get to see the stuff we see every day, so it's cool.

But no, I won't be flying this weekend.

Went to an Airshow last month in Dayton. Great Show as always. I have an 11 year old son that is a airplane nut. We have gone to an airshow for the last 7 years. My son loves the warbirds also and all of the jets. He can name every WWII Warbird (favorite P-40 Warhawk Flying Tigers). Last year we took a vacation to Washington D.C. and went to Arlington. While at Arlington we had to find Gen. Claire Chenault's grave. While at Dayton this year, he got to meet #2 Thunderbird pilot. He was very personable and talked to him for 15 minutes. The pilot carries an American flag when he performs a show and he gave it to my son. Talking about being stoked, my son now says he will be a Thunderbird pilot in about 15 years. If you can, go to the show. Curt

Do you know if the back gate will be open to the public? I am talking about the one right by Macrays?

Thanks Taking the kids really early Sat morning and I was hoping that was open

I will be up there for one day of the show. Looks like they have changed up the aircraft line up again I see a couple of acts are not longer listed. Its too bad they could not get an F-22 in for a demonstration flight they can do some really crazy stuff in that plane.

The schedule will be set the morning of each show. They list weather and security issues as the reason. It would be nice to be able to plan for the show though. My 3yr old is really excited about the show, but I don't know if he can make it the whole day. I know he will really like the Coast Guard demo, so I don't want to miss that.

The show from Anchor Bay is pretty good.
You miss all the cool stuff low stuff they do over the runway, but get to see the
jets etc setting up for flybys.
Depending on the wind, they have set up over the bay in the past.
This is the first year for the Thunderbirds, don't know if their routines are much different from the Angels.
Anchor bay can get pretty crowded those days, but still a GREAT show, and much cooler than the tarmac.
Wouldn't miss it!

Prolly ten years ago they had a stealth bomber come in for the weekend, I wasn't planning on going but we got to see the S B come in and land on thursday in the area working , I had to see that thing, it was amazing to see and very quiet. I'm planning on just goin fishin and seeing what I can from whereever I'm at, but usually there is alot of action over the lake. If your not going may want to avoid the area traffic wise.

Draino
