Friends family owns a island out that way. Went out on monday, constant action all day from shore in about 4 to 5 fow. I was using small jigs, lil nippers, and jigs tipped with minnows. There was a ton of baitfish in the area which probably helped. All worked well. filleted probably about 45 perch on tuesday night for an amazing well overdue fish fry. Pictures will be posted as soon as i get some copies. Got about 7 smallies as well ( a helluva fight with 2 pound test). Lets just say i did not want to go back to work!!

QUOTE(Brian C @ Aug 21 2009, 07:34 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Did you have to sort thru alot of dinks? that's the way it is out by the channel, you get a keeper every 10 or so.

it honestly wasnt that bad... i would say 75 percent of what i caught was keepers. not too many dinks at all. Maybe the smallies kept all the dinks away??

maybe dinks at the channel mouths, but if you know where to go up in the channels and the edges of the weeds, not too many dinks there...
