The payout is one out of six, one paying place for every six entries received. There is a $35.00 membership fee and members will receive discounts on products through the AC online store. Some of these discounts are substantial and you can actually pay for your membership through the savings. You will also receive Bass West magazine six times a year and for Angler's Choice members there will be an additional insertion into the magazine pertaining to Angler's Choice.
There will be a special grass roots membership fee at a reduced price to be announced soon! We hope to offer the benefits of the Largest and most Lucrative, National team trail to the St. Clair area angler.

Anglers beware!

I hate to say anything negetive about any organization but i'm going to this time.

Anglers Choice is now becoming a struggling organization. The reason their looking for directors is because each year directors drop out. Many times during the middle of the season.

I use to be a member of Anglers Choice. During the middle of the season our director dropped out. A new director took over and changed the entire schedule so each and every event was over 150 miles away from the nearest lake on the previous schedule.

Me and many of our members decided to try other districts of Anglers choice only to find each and every district having the same type of troubles.

Acourding to the directors the problems stem from the top. They get little support from the organization. The belief was that the organization only cared about making money and not about putting together a great trail.

I have no hard feelings towards this organization. I felt I needed to inform all anglers of the many problems this organization has had.

All I can say is before joining this organization investigate and you will find that almost all of the directors are new or fairly new... Talk to someone who has been a member and get some insight...This should tell you give you an idea if they are still experiancing the same problems.

Yes many of our directors are new and we will continue to add trails and directors. The reason for this is that we as an organization are new; the new owner Mark Mendez purchased the trail less than two years ago. Mark has also purchased Bass West magazine and several large sport shops on the west coast. Mark is a very successful businessman and an avid angler. Mark has made the decision to do something business related that he enjoys and offer premier teams trail to the angler.

As far as being a struggling organization you could not be more wrong, we are a new organization with a strong backing. Trust me there are many who do not want to see us come to this area. We have great paybacks and a classic package that is the best in a team format.

You must be speaking of problems of the past ownership as there has not been an Angler's Choice trail in the St. Clair area since new ownership. Go to the web site and see what we have to offer but we need to find a qualified director in your area to bring you the benefits of our trail.
