Bassfan.com today had part 2 of an interview they did recently with Mike Iaconelli. In the interview, he told of how he has created "Anglers POUNDing out a cure for cancer". He is pledging $2.00 for every pound of fish he weighs in this year to the Jimmy V Foundation. Two other pros have agreed to do this also as has Ranger and Yamaha. Personally, I think this is a wonderful idea.
Personally, I am going to make a similiar pledge for my 2004 BFL season and contribute the money to the Heart Association in honor of my father and grandfather.
Anyone else willing to consider this? As tournament anglers, we can help out others and show the non-fishing public we are not a bunch of good ole boys...
Sorry if this is posted on the wrong forum...I was not sure which forum was most appropriate.
