Ya know Dave, I've been wondering about the new 4-stroke engines. All boats for outboards have a HP rating and I wonder if they mean 2-stroke or 4-stroke? I know the 4-strokes are alot heavier. When do you suppose they will start listing an engine weight also? I know my 50HP Bigfoot weighs about 175lbs and the plate says I could have a 120!!! Are they nuts? I can only go about 25mph but geez half the time the lake is so rough I don't want to go any faster anyway. Do you think maybe some of these boats engines that are coming loose are too heavy? I hate to say it but it seems like alot of bass boats with 225s or 250s are alot more than needed unless you do alot of tourney fishing. Anyone have any thoughts?
