QUOTE(Jason R @ Apr 8 2004, 12:28 PM)I bought a Garmin 2006C GPS/Chartplotter 2 years ago.
That was one of the better purchases I made.

I'd definitely recommend looking at that one.
We have the 2006C Garmin as well. Nice unit!!!

Last year was the 27 Rinker for me.
This Christmas was the Garmin 188C.
The boat show was the supercharged GTX 185HP.
Now the starter is fixed in my 2000 GTX and I am looking at a trading it in for the supercharged RXP 215HP. On the water you might see me for a second passing by

I called about getting the starter fixed and they wanted $326 to replace it with a new one and 1.5 hour labor change.

I thought 1.5hrs for labor isn't long and I should be able to do it.

I pulled it out and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I took the starter to Macomb Battery. The guy there rebuild the start in about 15 minutes and charged me $25. I put everything back together today and had it running. I called Anderson's for a price on the RXP with trade-in on my GTX and they said I would be looking at about $5600 if it is in good condition.

I want to do the ride with you guys this Summer. My biggest problem is I work afternoons. I am trying to get put on days for the Summer, if it works out, count me in.

Convincer just picked up a jetski, I think he is interested in riding on Wednesdays too.

QUOTE(hammer @ Apr 8 2004, 06:45 PM)Hey Jetski, who fixed your GTX? You going to ride with us this year on Wednesdays?
if i can borrow jetski's gtx jetski, i'll ride with you on wednesday nights. a couple of years ago, jetski and i used to ride with a local jetski club. i don't remember the name of the club, but jetski might. they have an internet site and they also organize rides at least once a week. the last time we went, a rider, at almost idle speed, took a huge wake from a large yacht in the middle channel (?). i had to race to a phone to call 911...he broke his back. it was a bad, bad day! he was in the hosptial for quite some time. that unfortunate accident scared me, but i'm ready to ride again!
