Im a big fan. Love Kid Rock. But I dont neccesarily think it was to slow as much as I would say there could be a couple more up beat songs.

I like the Segar cover, ******* son of Detroit and the Hillbilly song.

The Hillbilly Stomp!!

Im drunk again
Excuse the hiccup
The ******* originator
Rollin in my pick up
Truck jacked up with the 4 gold shocks
And where i come from
Mud flaps come in stock

.....

Circle up the trucks
Fire up the brush
Untuck your shirt
Were gonna kick some dust
Dont 2 plus 2 it
Or 3 plus 3 it
4 x 4 to a place thats scenic

Not a big fan of his music, but I really respect him for being true to his hometown and not letting all the success go to his head.

My favorite part of the CD is Jump around the woods liek yuor all F-ed up!

I do like the slow stuff, but wish their was a equel amount of fast, angry, alcahol induced middle finger in the air kind of stuff.

If your talking about "Feel like making love", That's a Bad Company cover.

I like "Black Bob", track 4. Its got a killer guitar track.
Hillbilly Stomp is good also. I don't care much for the soft stuff but "Hard night for Sara" is good. I give it a 5 out of 10 overall.

"Its a hard night for Sarah" was a song that was suposed to be on one of Bob Segars albums from like 1972, he never released it or performed the song, the lyrics have been like stashed away in his sock drawer for around 30 years. Well maybe his undereare drawer. Anywhooo if you listen to it, youll notice Kid Rocks attempt to mimic Bob SR. I think he did a great job, also think its totally cool of the two to colaberate.

I did hear the Bad Company remake - I thought that is much better than Bad Company, only because I'm sick of the original.

Kid Rock was interviewed on Howard Stern about this CD and part of the reason the songs are soft is because he was in love with Pamela Anderson and he was feeling warm and fuzzy at the time.

Wow, I did not know that. I stand corrected! Sara does sound like a seger song now that you mention it. I remember those old seger albums from that era. I still have "Back in 72" and "Smokin OP's"! Great records!

Oops I just dated myself!
