Looking to get out this morning to do some casting (or just catching some sun....FINALLY) but am taking my brother and his kids out this afternoon around 3ish and was wondering if there's anywhere near Salt River or Anchor Bay where we can catch some walleye or perch. I haven't been out too much this year with long work days and bad weather so am hoping to really find them and hit it hard this next week (work permitting).

Any advice would be great. I don't mind a little further drive if necessary, just prefer somewhere fairly close to the marina. ALL advice will be considered.

The times that I've gotten out I've caught quite a few muskie, pike, and bass but I really don't want to catch anything that I don't plan on keeping. I really don't know what to do with any of those species.

p.s. if I DID catch a muskie big enough to keep (and mount) what would be a worthwhile size?

We fished south of metro beach area friday morning all the way up to selfridge for perch in 10-12FOW. We got skunked using perch minnows. We switched over to smallie fishing with tubes and picked up two two 2-3 pounders, then had to go. It was rough that morning and was just calming down when we left around 2pm. There were some 2-3ft waves periodically south of metro friday morning. First time on the lake for fishing for me. We were advised to head to the st clair light or dumping grounds, which was just to far out for comfort in that rough water. Trying again next weekend.
