Hi everyone,
My brother in law is running for trustee of Harrison Twp and your support would be greatly appreciated. He is a born and raised resident of Harrison Twp and currenty holds a second term on the zoning board. He is a long time boater and an animal lover(which makes him all the more special in my eyes because he has rescued several dogs over the years).

Here are some of his qualifications:
*Currently serving second term on the Harrison Twp Zoning Board of Appeals
*Appointed by Supervisor Knowels as Townships's representative to 41 B Building Committee.
* Masters of Science in Tax- Walsh College
* Bachelors Degree in Economics and Political Science- Michigan State University
* Associate of Finance-Macomb Community College
* Citizen planner certification- Michigan State University Extension Services.
As Trustee he will work toward the following:
* Reinstate public comment on agenda items to allow residents to provide input on the issues.
* Seperate future millage proposals allowing the residents to tell Board which items they want, rather than bundling which promotes a negative attitude toward the entire proposal.
* Clean up the Township by taking action to remove abandoned buildings including the gas station on South River and resturant on North River Rd.
* Remove service fee from the township web site for residents who pay property tax and utility bills on-line. The effect of this plan is the reduction of employee work hours.
* Institute technology based Board meetings by providing Board packet to board members on CD. This will reduce costs by decreasing the cost of paper reproduction and eliminate the need for future storage.
* Promote Use Variences to replace Rezoning of property. This will reduce costsand minimize some of the negative affects of land development.
* Require all Planning Commission and Zoning Baord of Appeals members to complete the MSU Citizen Planner program. A well eductated PC and ZBA can reduce future litigation and potentially would decrease our insurance premiums.
