Im in the same boat. I used to wheel my truck out but I dont know that I have the patience or time anymore. Its paid off and I want to keep it because its the best truck Ive ever had.

The dog has jumped up on the doors on both sides and slid down, leaving nice scratches, and going down the trails up north has yielded some nice scratches as well.

I'd like to get it wheeled out and a nice coat or 2 or 3 of wax put on before winter. If the scratches can be wheeled out of the clearcoat, I'd be especially happy.

He used to detail independently years back, at the car wash he just manages and washes the cars. Bummer, they dont do detailing there at all

Try gratiot auto center. 12 mile and gratiot on the north west corner. They do everything and have great people working there. While your there they have a huge customer lounge with plasma tv's, plush couches and free wifi. You could also take advantage of their $20 oil changes. Check online for coupons and special discount days.

Best place we've ever used is Classic Appreciation in Rochester. Not the cheapest, but truly incredible results - they fill paint chips, even touched up the paint on the shocks on my old F-250. Every vehicle we've taken there has come out looking better than the day it rolled off the line. Plus, they do a lot of high-end cars, so when you drop yours off you can drool over the Ferrari, Porsche or Aston that's in the shop

Out of curiousity, did the ozoning work? did your truck smell like electricity for a while? lol.

It did, but the smoke was up in the HVAC ducts, so even through the ran the heat or A/C while ozoning, it didn't clear it out of there. Explorers have a cabin filter but the dash has to removed to get to it, so that didn't get done. Long and short of it, it was gone for a while, but once I started running the heat, it became apparent again. It's much better now, but still evident at times.

I can attest to their work also. Nothing good is ever cheap but it is worth it.
