Usually in April, but you never know. They usually have the dates out before the sites are announced, but even those can change as in this year.

It would behoove ESPN/BASS to release their Open schedules at the end of the year instead of April or May. Many anglers already have commitments to fish other circuits by the time the BASS schedule comes out. What would be the harm if they released the schedule earlier?

If it were a cut and dry thing I am sure they would have the dates/lakes posted at the end of the year. There is so much more to having a city or location hold a tournament than the average person thinks. Especially when the tournaments are as large BASS or FLW tournaments.

The Everstart Series, which is comparable to the BASS Opens, are scheduled now. Anglers are already signing up. BASS could schedule early, as well. They just need to be willing to change their SOP.

Yes, but this is there job. All jobs are tough. This is what they do and they need to do a better job of doing. As Cameraguy said, Everstart always gets there's out in the fall.
