hello everybody,

i am looking for some smallmouth spots to fish on st. clair, i been up there before, but really do not know where to go!!!

please help me!

right now, fish the "mile roads". that is from metro park to the 9 mile tower. fish are anywhere from 5 feet to 12 feet deep. i recommend fishing 5 feet first, and start working your way into deeper water. when you start catching fish, stay in that water depth. tubes always work, i've not seen a tube that a smallie won't eat. if it is really weedy, casting is best, and shallower water is better for casting. if it is a clean bottom, or deeper water (10 feet or more), then dragging tubes can be really productive, just drift with the wind. if you are not catching a keeper every 15 minutes, then you need to move, because when you find fish, you should get a keeper every 5 minutes. hope this helps, derrek
