Does anyone reccomend one brand over another?

Is there a noticable difference between the amps when using it striclty for firing a boat with dead batteries?

I do know I have an older larger one that was purchases at harbor freight I have had it 4-5 years and it started a small blocck that had 2 dead batteries first try where as another smaller newer box was tried just minutes before. I do believe mine was 1100 cca...
Hi Ken,

This is Gary, I had purchased my boat from Scott. Not sure if you remember me or not. But, I had found a jumper box in the dumpster here at work last week. I had to buy a charger plug for it and it seems to work. If your looking for something cheap I will be willing to sell it to you for the cost of the charger plug $8.00. Didn't have a chance to try it out on a dead engine yet. But I have two of them and only need one.
I'm also in the need of a good one

Don't know the brand of mine but it's probably 9 years old and won't hold a charge.
gary-

Thanks! I remember you!
I am going to pass though as a friend of mine just said he has one I can have!

After 8 hours in the bay this past Saturday I was drained. Between the fridge and the radio, I was drained!

I just jumbed from my genny battery and all was fine!

Whomever previously set up the boat set it up like so...

starter bat for genny

then two other bat's, one to each motor and the house all looped into the two.

I need to do some modifications soon! I need new bat's too as they were with the boat and I do not know the age.
