I have heard that they are planning on tearing it down. Something with the riverfront beautification project.

i drove past that trailer park before getting to the big park next to it. that is the only trailer park i have ever seen with a canal behind the houses. i thought wouldn't it be great to have a big house boat, leave it in the water during the summer and put it on your lot winter months...

From using my telescope....I have learned that looking at land based objects, that when the water temp is the same as the air you get a clear view.

the space between the land and the water you see on the left is the wave of heat difference between the water and air....

also the earth curves 6' per mile......in the old days all sailors knew the earth was round since they could see the sails of a ship in the distance and as it came closer you would see more of it

Thats the reason that the riverfront society wants to tear it down.

Taxman,

That sounds a bit extreme. Could it be more like 6 inches per mile instead of 6 feet per mile curvature?
