Is that the one N. of NB, sitting sideways in the canal? How the HECK did they get that out of there??
YEP thats the one.

AS long as that thing has been sitting in the muck, there must have been this tremendous sucking sound as they lifted it out...I am assuming they lifted it out...very low water there.

How did they get it out?....I am VERY curious!

Yep, I noticed it two weeks ago. In fact I just went by there yesterday and was wondering what the he!! happened to it?!

Thank God it's out of there.... Almost like seeing a beached whale being set free!

Got used to seeing it for the past four years...Kinda miss it. We would watch to see which way it was leaning this past year.

The shafts and props must have been buried!

My wife called the DNR and told them we were all getting very concerned about the contamination we figured must be coming from the boat - she may have embellished a bit about a sheen on the water.

The next day Michigan Marine Salvage came with two boats and sent one up the canal to pull the boat out. They managed to get it and pulled it out into the lake where they adjusted their hookup to it and then took it who knows where.

I don't know if the property owner who had rented to the boat "owner" will be fined, but somebaody's gonna pay, I would guess.

Thanks for calling. My concerns were the same but I had no idea who to call.

Good job Spider! Ain't she a beauty?
She certainly is. I had driven past her the day the original thread was posted about her. I too thought as I drove by what a shame it was to let a boat go like that. I also wondered what shape she was in when they left her like that.
Yep, I was there for that thread. I went by it that same day, too! Or the day before... whatever.

Anyways, you're right. What a shame. Almost like seeing some starving puppy tied to a post outside in the cold somewhere. You just have to feel for it a little!
Checkout that waterline. That thing was BARELY FLOATING for quite some time . . . at one time.
