Usually you are better off taking a course over the winter. In spring, they fill up quick. Just my .02
Boating Safety Course
I am wondering if anyone has any information on boating safety courses coming up around the east side??????

The Macomb County Sheriff's Marine Division has a Safe Boating course starting May 3. It is an eight hour course (4 hours May 3, and 4 hours May 10). The course takes place at the Dodge Park Recreation Center. For registration Information call Mike Kostrzeba at 586-446-2705. For future courses call the Marine Division at 586-469-5803. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxilary and the U.S. Power Squardon also have boating courses.
The Detroit Power Squadron will be holding a class at Kean's Marina on the Detroit River (near Sinbad's) two Tuesday and two Wednesday evenings, June 10-18.
