As for color combo's, my top 3 are brass/perch,brass/walleye, and silver/black&red. I like Windell's the best, but use Hi-finn and others. I use 2oz/40' the most, but will vary the weight and distance. I use them mainly on board rods, but sometimes on boat rods--usually the long rods. What's your fav's? Hang a big one

color depends on the day

boards mainly
anywhere from 1 & 70 to 2 & 40 (but that changes if they won't bite in there)

I usually run um free or 1 oz, no more on the board. anywhere fro 70 to 40 depending on marks on the fishfinder.

I have run them on the boat rod 6 and 15 but not much luck.

The best is a Super Brunner Runner Bummers Bee or a Lucy's Lulu at 40 feet with 2 ounces. Try it you will Love It. Plus you don't need a leader. Less connections to foul up.
