I am just kind of snickering here because he is Cub-Scout camping with our son. He called this morning and said they did not have heat in their cabin.

I do feel sorry for them, but I sure glad I decided not to go.

Their cabins are nice new and warm, as a matter a fact their not cabins their like houses, so what ever sob story he telling you, dont soak it up. There probaly warmer where their at then at home.

Actually that campground is very old. Kevin just called and said the cabin temp was 55 degrees last night. He said that all of the kids did not sleep and they are all whining. I heard it myself on the phone.

So they are improvising, Kevin and another Dad went to the store and bought portable heaters and movies (because of course they brought a DVD player). One of the movies they bought was American Wedding....he promised me he would not let the kids watch it.

Those poor cub scouts will never be the same!!!

The Girl Scouts Cabins are not actual Cabins their houses and they are only a couple years old. Im assuming the Bot Scouts cabns are the same. Your feelign bad for them and right now Kevin and the rest of them are probaly couch surfing in fornt of a big screen TV, yep all in there undies playing X-box, microwaving their frozen dinners. Not like when I was a boy scout we slept in a hole in the ground and had to eat tree bark and bear poop.

long time ago i worked with this guy he was in some group where they would go out on a hiking trip over night and build there own shelters and sleep in them. shelters being out of snow, doesnt sound like fun to me .
