Windjammer1 made an interesting post on the sailing forum that:
"If you anchor in Canada you do not have to report to customs. You only have to report if you go ashore. You can also go to a marina and get fuel, ice, ect. without reporting as long as you stay on the boat."
So, saying that this is true, what were some of the gas prices across the border verses here in the States? Did anyone stop in Canada for refueling?
Would make the trip to PIB or CP easier (I would think) to stop over in Canada to refuel verses cutting through the channel and refueling in Trenton.
Don't bother going if you have beer/alchohol in your boat. If your caught it will cost you more than it will for the gas you wanna get.
Ask Jabberjaws about that one!
I was fueling at Mac & Rays all last season and I would pull up and they would hand me the nozzle, yell to me where I was at ($/gals) and then I would hand them the nozzle when I was done. This is not the norm? It was the fist time I was on the lake without a trailerable so I have no comparission.
The price on shore is around 80-90 cents a liter, so that makes it about 3.20 a gallon and with the exchange brings it to around 1.85, so I would be real suprised to find deals on the water.

No its not the norm Jim. Also if you look I believe MacRay's is regular while EVERYONE else is mid-grade.
