Cass Lake

i was out there 2 weekends back. the water temps on the main lake were 47. the air was cold and the sky was grey also, so that might have brought temps down. but we did see small males on beds. we didnt manage to catch anything in the 2 hours we were out there either.

i was out there last weekend. hooked into a bunch of fish but could only get one to the boat. the one i did get was on a tube. but i got good hits on spinnerbaits and ratl traps. but everytime the fish would jump, they would get off.

we fished a few of the humps and a big flat. seen a bunch of fish shallow. they were hitting good, but neither one of us could land them. it was wierd, one of 'those' days.

might want to try the 'guts'. take a left after lauching and go back past all the reeds. alot of the canals hold fish. i had some really good blows up on a scum frog but once again couldnt hook up.
