I thought I would pull this out of an earlier thread. Milord is inviting us to Chatam on the Thames to play, I was there a few years back and had a blast. What do you all think, and who be willing to cross the big pond? If a large enough group decides to go and I assemble a crew I'm in.

Yes, this weekend overnight. I'm not sure on the times.

James, how long from our side to your side with a 30' cruiser?

Rob, how fast do you cruise? It's probably about 27 miles to the Cove from HCN. Come up in the afternoon, be there by about 3. We'll have some drinks and head up the river in daylight so if there is anything in the river we can see where it's at. Then we party!

I cruise around 27 miles an hour. From dock to dock I'm thinking under 2 hours.

I just did some more research after talking to MooseKnuckle. The river run is about 15 miles. We can do that in the daylight. Once we are downtown Chatham we can plug in the boats for the night and really party. Just stay down there for the night and not worry about cruising the river back in the dark.

The docks charge $1.05 Canadian a foot for overnight dockage.

Having never been to Canada by boat....What's the story. Well check in at the marina at the mouth of the river or wait till we get to Chatam? What do you need to bring? 2 pieces of ID with 1 being a birth cert.? Are you allowed to drink on the boat during the ride down the river?

I'm not so sure I would be too concerned with an I68 this time of the year. I was never stopped coming into US waters with Canadian numbers on my boat in the peak of the summer so I sure wouldn't worry with US numbers on the boat.

Rerun, that's all you should need man. Just call customs when you get over to Canada and you'll be all set.

The only boats in the river will be us, we can drink whatever we want.

Who is going for sure?

Goose?
Watterlogged?
Moose?
Rerun?

I only have my cousin Joe tagging along so far, Antoinette's working and JC will be out of town. So I may room in my aft cabin that sleeps two.

I wish I wasn't winterrized I'd love to go.

Hey Rob why don't you call Ed and see if he wants his face kicked in again?

Have fun everyone.
