perfect example of why you don't rest the rod on the edge of the boat when fighting fish. If it hadn't touched, the rod probably would not be busted.

I caught a goliath grouper in FL over Xmas that was estimated at 320 pounds. It is illegal to take them out of the water and I dragged it up 90' and it was a beast. It took about 20 minutes with a 2 speed reel and just before I landed this one I lost one estimated at 450 pounds. If you are in FL try it...it's fun and a good workout ( I do not recommend sticking the rod between your legs like the guy in the video).
