[XAM Dan]

I left Jacks Last night about 10:30 heading back to beacon cove and as I got just past 10 mile the Coast Guard boat (bigger one with about 8 coasties on it) flashed me. Next thing I knew the Hellacopter was above me with a couple spotlights shining down on me. They asked where we were coming from and where we were going. They asked what time we got to Jacks. Then they asked how many people were on the boat, I said there were just 2 of us. They said "there isn't anyone down below" I replied no. Then they kept us there for about 3 more minutes (runing my registration numbers maybe?) and just came back on the bullhorn and said "Have a nice night" and took off to another boat about 300 years farther out...

They also pulled over the boat we had been there with about 20 minutes later and the same routine...

Any idea what was going on? Where they looking for something or someone in particular? I just wonder because they seemed to be in quite a hurry and that is the first time I wa pulled over that they didn't take the time to check to see if I had PFD's, a throwable, fire ext, ect...

Or could it have something to do with the heightened terror alert???

At any rate, I just wondered if anyone else ran into this last night, or knew what they may have been looking for...

I would guess it was to do with the heightened alert.

I know on the news the other night, they said we are in alert orange or something, which is only one away from being at highest alert. The funny thing is, I don't think too many terrorists are hanging out at Jack's for Tiki Tuesday

I don't know, maybe they are making sure it's safe for the Playmates

Actually I think they were looking for something or somone specific to have the copter out there hovering over the boats they stopped and they had a LOT of people on the boat that questioned me...

It's that whole time continue-um thing. You know, if I go back in time and kill my grandfather before he has any kids, then my dad wont be born and hence, neither will I. But then if I am not born, how can I travel back in time and kill my grandfather?

Here in San Diego,they have a U.S. cruiser parked full time as of last week in front of the bay.Helicopters are carrying air to air missles and theres about 8 of them just going in circles from the marine base ,along the Mexico border to the port .pretty impressive

Patriot left Jacks last night by boat around 9pm and said he didn't have a problem nor did he see anyone being pulled over.
