Hi everyone. Just wanted to report about conditions on Cotton Road.
The ice was good 4-6+ inches thick. There was some open water though so be careful (don't want to get on the news that way). The fish appeared to be very cautious. I saw very few aggressive fish. Most of the fish I saw were small perch. I saw a few very good sized perch and my buddy claims that he saw "the largest perch he's ever seen" swim under our hole. Of course, I didn't see it so it didn't happen ha ha. I did see a largmouth in the neighborhood of 20" swim under my hole but he simply kissed my bait and swam away. Again, all fish were very cautious. It appeared that many, many more people were fishing the Base. How did everyone do over there?
How about that wind.....holy cow.
