Hello all,

I just moved in to a house on 16 and Jefferson on a canal, and it doesn't have a seawall. The canal is only a couple of feet deep right now, and I am wondering what type of seawall I want to have constructed.

Not sure what type to have built. I heard they have steel, vinyl, wood, and rock. I am looking for a cost effective, durable seawall. I have 180ft of canal, so steel would be too expensive for me. Would vinyl be a good alternative? Would it be cheaper. I plan on having about 90 feet put in next year, and I need some ideas.

Does anyone know a good company to have this done? Does anyone know the approximate price for seawall construction? Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I didn't know of anything except steel used these days. Ron's marine up by deckers does a great job. He did Joe's Island with galvinized wall and it looks great.
