THe scheduled date is June 23rd.

Start rallying your troops for this annual event that is a "blast" everytime.

The LSCN raft up will form again and all who are sceptical, need to overcome your fear and come on down for a really good time(weather pending)

Those with the large cruisers please contact me with any questions because you guys are the ones who need to anchor first. Then us teeny-tiny boats tie off of you!
CHANNEL 69 WILL BE THE CHANNEL WE USE. JUST CALL LSCN OR CONVINCOR

Here's how we have done it:
Plan on a late night.
I/we who have gone in the past have found that it much easier and fun to just hang around after the show until the mass of boats cruise on out of there. It's usually around midnight-1am when we leave.
(But feel free to leave whenever)
*Remember, between Detroit and Belle Island is "NO WAKE". I always travel on the east side of the island to get to our spot.

THIS IS OUR SPOT:

Bobrob,

We usually don't get down there till 6 or 7. They will not close it down. The best part about this is you are close enough to see the show, and that you are far enough away from the "crazies" after they leave. We usually get there later and we are the last ones to leave.

We are planning on being there also...however we will have the kids with us, so we will have to be at the end with kids. What time do you think we need to get down there?

Count me in. INSTIGATER & crew will be with us. We may have a few more. I was thinking of leaving New Baltimore around 5pm. What time are you trying to get people down there?
That sounds great.

I'll send you a PM with my cell#

Jabs is right. For every body who wants to go, I would get down there by/no later than 7pm. That will give you time to tie up (and go swimming)LOL.

I will plan on getting a group of the faster boats to start heading down about 6pm.

So, lets start with that and see what everybody thinks!?

Would love to see your boat start off the raft with that big boat and anchor you got.
Everybody bring PLENTY of fenders!!!

Sounds like fun...I need to talk to Capt'n Rob and see if he would be willing to cruise down the Detroit River for the show.

Or we have a HCN buddy (Todd) who has a 41ft '74 Egg Harbor who might be traveling down.

I will be sure to give Todd your location!

See ya there...

I sure hope so. I dont want to be the only one swimming across the river (okay, from boat to boat) for a beer. Although the water does kinda "stick" to you.

QUOTE(JennyJennyII @ Jun 14 2004, 03:22 PM)The JJII & Crew may be down there for da' works...last time we went we couldnt get my crappy anchor to hold and it was quite a buzz kill....it would be great to be able to raft/tie - off the 'bigger boats' for extra security!
Jenny!! Where have you been. I haven't seen your boat at ECH. Did you move??

Hey Jason!! We moved the JJII to Shore Club Yacht Harbor (the 9 mile tower apts marina)...it was over $700 less
for the summer and they have a great pool and nice picnic area a much better view and grass in front of our wells dock.

I pulled the boat from ECH and parked at a broker for the winter - we have the boat for sale and hoping she'll sell this summer.
