Thanks Iggy. I was planning on fishing Saturday, but the weather looks horrible. May try to squeeze out Sunday if I can make the time.
I've heard about that lake quite a bit, but never fished it. Decent boat ramp? 500 acre lakes are perfect size if you ask me.Just saw this post today April 1st. Sounds like a GREAT day on Kent Lake to me. LOL Your slow days would be my "fantastic" days. That bass is a really good size. I usually catch them prior to the season opening up. I will hit Stoney Creek Lake after the season opens there. It opens up there a month before the catch & keep season on LSC. I do very well on large mouths in Stoney. Never saw a smallie caught there. Did you ever fish that small lake? Great for crappies (Current Mich state record was caught there) and good pike fishing. Not too much in the way of gills & perch, but some big cats in there too. You may enjoy the bass fishing there. Small lake though. 500 acre lake.
edit: 10 M.P.H. speed limit on this lake. Any size motor is o.k.
