Things are little slow on here, so I'll post a trip from the Detroit River I did last summer.
Detroit River fishing video summer of 2022. You never know what you're going to catch on the Detroit River. This particular day was a great multi species day on the river. There aren't too many fisheries that hold the number of fish that the Detroit River does. Sometimes it's just a matter of getting on the right area. Come along for a trip on the Detroit River with R & J Bass Fishing.

Thanks Iggy. I was planning on fishing Saturday, but the weather looks horrible. May try to squeeze out Sunday if I can make the time.

I'm breaking the boat out and headed to Kent Lake in Milford tomorrow. Just make sure everything is working good. Good luck at Metro. Do they still not open the gates till 8am there?
I ended up going to Kent Lake in Milford Michigan. Water level was still drawn down about 3 feet which made launching the boat tricky. The bite was tough. We caught 10 bass, 3 pike, 1 crappie, and 1 pumpkin seed sunfish. Most everything came in 8 to 13 feet of water. Water temperature when we started was 39 and warmed to 42 by the time we left. We got caught in one brief shower when we were loading the boat up to leave.

Just saw this post today April 1st. Sounds like a GREAT day on Kent Lake to me. LOL Your slow days would be my "fantastic" days. That bass is a really good size. I usually catch them prior to the season opening up. I will hit Stoney Creek Lake after the season opens there. It opens up there a month before the catch & keep season on LSC. I do very well on large mouths in Stoney. Never saw a smallie caught there. Did you ever fish that small lake? Great for crappies (Current Mich state record was caught there) and good pike fishing. Not too much in the way of gills & perch, but some big cats in there too. You may enjoy the bass fishing there. Small lake though. 500 acre lake.

edit: 10 M.P.H. speed limit on this lake. Any size motor is o.k.
I've heard about that lake quite a bit, but never fished it. Decent boat ramp? 500 acre lakes are perfect size if you ask me.
Good info. Thanks Iggy
