QUOTE(bass_proz @ Jun 23 2009, 09:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Took the wife and two kids, justin 14yr old and jenny 9yr old fishing on sunday and monday. Of course this was my fathers day to myself...lol
We launched at elizabeth park and fished south around the last island and to a quarry down in lake erie about 5 miles.
Justin had the most largemouth with a two day total of 35, his best was 3 10
Jenny caught 11 during the two days( only fished a couple hours) one nice 3lber
Wife caught 5 or 6 but rather sun tanned. all 12 or 14 inchers
Myself i caught maybe 20 with one nice one at 4lbs
All fish were caught and released using green pumpkin trick sticks(senko style) on spinning tackle.
We also caught sheephead, stripers and a couple catfish.
Last year at this time we had over 200 largemouth, We still had a great time and got sunburned to boot..lol
i believe you are talking about white bass. they are related to stripers, and are quite plenty in the river as of now. stripers are not around here. mainly down south, but not in great lakes.
