Walleye are really biting well now. We caught 30 on Sunday and 26 on Monday by 1:30pm. Seemed to be better in the morning before the wind got up as we had 15 by 9am on Monday. You really don't need live bait anymore, but it might help you catch a couple more per day. Most of them were just eaters. Just a 3/8-1/2 jig with a straight tail 3" or 4" worm. Give it a shot near the North end of Fighting Island and near Mud Island....get out there....DRP.

Thanks for the report, DRP. They are appreciated.

For anybody fishing the Detroit River Saturday, I got an e-mail through the DWF saying that the northern portion of the Trenton Channel (from the tip of Hennepin Pt. down to the Toll Bridge) will be close to fishing and high speed boat traffic due to a High School rowing competition. They will maintain a lane of passage along the eastern shore for no wake travel.
