I was looking at the wyandotte launch fishing report and it says that the winds shifted and the fish were biting (report was a few days old) Since I haven't yet fished the river I was wondering what winds are good for fishing on the river and which would shut them down.
Does jigging catch the "Eyes all year or is it more of a spring early summer technique?

You can catch a few during the summer jigging, however, the best time is from April 1 - May 30. It starts to die off the last two weeks of May. However, I have caught them pretty well into June several years. You can still get some early in the morning and again in the evening most of the year in various places.
