I take mine to the local Murray’s auto parts. I think they have a 5 gal per day limit and they make you take the empty jug back. Something about it being illegal for them as a business to put them in the trash. It may just be a local ordinance in my area. I've heard some will dispose of the jugs after they empty them into there holding tank. There is no charge for this service form Murray’s. I think AutoZone will also take drain oil.
