Can you make your own out of a bucket, or is it best just to buy a regular sock. There are so many on the market to choose from. And all the prices vary.

Thanks for the info.

If you ever tryed to bring in a 5 gal. bucket full of water you'll realize to buy one. BPS has alot of size's. They work so well and you won't believe how easy they are to retrieve. It's effortless. If your into drifting it's the best tool there is. You won't regret it and let us know how you like it. It can make all the difference in burning over the prime fishing area your in. It's not good to be blasting back over the area all the time that take's away casting time, or drift dragin.

h2o<---says you'll love it.

I used one (sized for my boat) on Lk Erie last summer, it sure slowed down my wind drift and alowed me to fish the way I wanted (jig on the bottom). I'd say it was worth the money. I have the Min-Kota one, but others work and cost about the same..
PS they fold/roll into nothing, so they are easy to store onboard.
