What are you looking to catch? And how do you plan on fishing for them? That will help out a lot with finding more specifics. As far as I know, Erie is doing good on the CAN side of the lake, if that is an option for you.

I have fished erie a lot this year and haven't left OH waters yet. Two weekends ago I tried some different spots around west sister and we caught fish everywhere we went. Most of the hot fishing has been out towards the turnaround bouy which is due east of Sterling State Park in Monroe and north of west sister in OH waters. I know guys are fishing short of here in MI waters and still doing good. The western end is filthy with fish right now and due to cooler water temps I would say it may be good for awhile longer. Usually by this time the water is getting so warm that the fish start moving east and by mid to early august the fishing is tough. I will be out there Friday evening and hopefully the rest of the weekend weather permitting but launching in OH. We have done good on spoons all year so far. Let me know if you want anymore specifics.... Good luck!

this might help too if looking for landmarks.... Sputnik or the turnaround bouy has been where a lot of the action is happening but you should be able to get fish where ever you decide to fish. Look for a pack of boats and then stay a little away from the pack. I firmly believe that as these schools of fish get hammered they push outside away from the boats. I have not fished in the pack all year and have limited out about every time out. Lots of undersized fish out there too!

I don't fish but I love the run to Lake Erie. I'd advise you to have charts and be careful to stay in the channel. It can get confusing in the lower river. The last part of the main channel to the big lake is a blast in a go-fast. Then I usually go out at least to the Detroit River Light. I've gone to Put-In-Bay once and willbe going back this year. I also want to do an overnighter at Cedar Point. Good luck fishing but I think you will enjoy the cruise anyway.

Lanuch Sterling Stat Park in Monroe. We have been donw there the last 3 weekends and pulled a 3 man limit every time. pull 2 oz bb with copper harnesses and red beads. Head out front of stony point 23-27 fow. you will see the boats. I took my nephews and bro from out of town yesterday and we put 15 in the boat in 3 hours. the marina also has a great launch with a cleaning station. **** Luck!
