Ugh! Okay, this is STUPID, but have to vent!!!

I just went to Arby's drive thru and they were only taking one car's order at a time, making the one at the speaker sit there until the car was gone from the window!!

This Arby's is slow all the time, but today was just BAD! I was third in line out of about a dozen and I sat there for over 20 minutes to just leave anyway when they told me I again had to wait for them to take my order! 2 cars sat there for 10 mins. each. I wasn't going to wait 10 more minutes. Even short handed, no one should wait that long & I could see that they had only a handful of customers inside. I ended up literally cruising through Wendy's drive thru and they were just as busy. I would have still been sitting at Arby's. I feel bad for the people who only have a 1/2 hour lunch.

I used to work for an Arby's years ago and worked drive thru. Never made customers wait that long! Policy was no more than 3 minutes per order and we would get written up if we didn't follow.

Okay, I feel so much better now. I wouldn't have complained but this particular Arby's is good for this crap.

Wendy's is always quick. They yell at you if you don't keep up with them. They always have your change waiting for you before you pay and your bag of food is haning out of the next window even before you have pulled up to it. It cracks me up.

Now that you mention it, my bag was hanging out the window before I pulled up!! That's funny!

I also worked at Arbys when I was 16 and also never made people wait that long. I was also a cashier and super fast with no screwups that was my job so I did it well and did it with pride. I ABSOLUTELY HATE HATE going to Meijer's stores because I always have to wait in line for ever and I think that they have the worlds slowest cashiers ever.

I was great at drive thru! That was a fun job back then, worked with some great people. Our manager NEVER allowed us to make anyone wait. I was like you, took pride and didn't screw up. It's so frustrating to have to wait for "fast food".

It also bugs me when you pull up and they just say "Can I Help You?!?" or something totally rude. How about "Welcome to (insert name here), may I take your order". We had to say that. I do however compliment one if they treat us with respect. I always say thank you when they hand me my order and I deserve a have a nice day. I may be picky, but why not expect it? Most are so rude, you just want to punch them (with oven mits) before you drive away!
