QUOTE(smokeater42 @ Jun 21 2009, 10:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Me and my brothers took my old man out fishing this morning for fathers day. trolled a little around the 400 club but kept catchin surface weeds so we decided to head out to the st clair light. drifted in 16fow through a group of boats with perch rigs and crawler harnesses...caught quite a few perch, lots of little ones and about 8 big ones....couple rock bass too. had alot of fun out there. went back to the marina to pick up mom and meet up with my two cousins on there boats and my uncle on my grandpas 1974 searay that was just put back in the water...hooked the stringer full of fish on the dock and headed out. we went out in front of my grandparents old house and we all dumped the ashes we had from them into the water...they lived on the lake and we couldnt think of a better place to leave their remains....it was where we all had our greatest memories of them both and partly why i love LSC soo much. tehn headed over to metro and hung out all day. it was great....got back to the marina and the stringer had 1 perch and one head!!! i have no idea what could eat all that fish lol. oh and i pulled this big stump out of the water...figured id hate hitting it...so i removed it.....any ideas on what could have eaten all my fish!??
Probably a snapping turtle. Had the same issue a couple times myself a few years ago, pulled up the stringer and there it was, half of my bass with a snapper attached to it. Big bastard too...
